this man can really draw.

Bad character advertising

I went to the super market today to get some breakfast cereals
and to my surprise i found this cerealbox with this disgusting 3d computer generated
freak of a character.

And what is he doing to my breakfast cereal?





Imagine if you where a kid and you saw this on the groseryshelfs

would you think that this looks tasty? Maybe if you open the box

there is still some monkey pubes inside as a price.

It baffles me that the designer of this abomination thinks this would appeal to kids (or people in general).

And where those niples really necessary? What would it add to the character besides

making it look more revolting?

Here is an excample of  of characters who are done right.

This is ten times as apealing.

Here is something i did quite a while ago,
I had some ideas for an animation wich i am
still thinking about sometimes, but i've put it in the shelf for a while.
I made this in illustrator while i was still studying graphic design in Amsterdam.
Maybe i will pick up on this some time.

Parrot project so far

I added some shots and cleaned up some frames.
Still need to add some more shots and an good ending
and i will add some sound too very soon.

The Daltons have a good taste for art...

I saw this Lucky Luke film a while ago, and look whats that in the background!?
At least they're not ashamed of showing it because it was quite clear on the screen.
And it was on screen for a while to so that everyone could take a good look at it.

But further more the animation film itself had beautyfull background art.

So if you get a chance to see it and if you got time on your hands, you should check this out.

Parrot project

Today i'm busy with an new animation project of mine.
It a story about a man and his faithfull parrot.
The man forces the Parrot to do some tricks and the
parrot doesn't co-operates very well.
Becouse of the mans inpatience, he's loosing control of himself
and he changes more in to a parrot himself.
